## **Who is BlueDot Impact?**

We're a nonprofit startup **building the workforce that protects humanity**.

Since 2022, we've trained over 7,000 people in AI safety and biosecurity. Our alumni work at Anthropic, DeepMind, the UK AI Safety Institute, and dozens of other organisations shaping how transformative technologies affect the world.

We're a small team based in London and San Francisco. We raised $25M in 2025.

We might hire multiple people for this role.

## **Why this role matters**

100 people go through our courses each week. Many of them could have a huge positive impact on the trajectory of AI if they worked full-time in the field. But most people don’t see a concrete pathway for themselves, so they bounce.

Your job is to change that. You’ll spot the most exceptional people in our courses, build deep relationships with them, figure out what’s keeping them on the fence, and do whatever it takes to get them into full-time impactful work.

## **What you'll do**

**Find and accelerate exceptional talent**

- Identify promising people and get on calls with them. Evaluate how much they care about making AI go well, how agentic and capable they are, and whether or not we should prioritise supporting them.
- Own specific people’s journeys. Have regular 1-1 calls with them, and understand what’s blocking them. Is it money? A clear story for how they could contribute? Needing social proof? Fear? Then you’ll remove those obstacles.
- Evaluate and deploy 10-20 ~$60k career transition grants each year to enable exceptional people to quit their jobs and move towards a full-time AI safety career.

**Run and scale programs**

- Based on what you learn by accelerating individuals, design and run programs that scalably get top talent to go from “interested in AI safety” to working full-time in a specific direction.
- Programs could include a week-long bootcamp for technical talent to transition into policy jobs, a biosecurity hackathon, a part-time writing course, a retreat for especially impressive people, or something else you think would be impactful.
- You’ll own everything from participant selection to post-program outcomes. You’ll track what’s working and what isn’t, kill things that aren’t moving us towards our mission, and double down on things that do.

**Place people into high-impact teams and roles**

- Build strong relationships with hiring managers at organising like Anthropic, UK AISI, METR, Blueprint Biosecurity, GovAI, and leading AI safety startups. Understand their cultures, their needs, what their missions are, who they are and aren’t looking for, and how best to plug our talent into their teams.
- Share impactful opportunities (including open roles and fellowships) with the most impressive people in our community, and introduce them to relevant hiring managers and leaders to accelerate them through that hiring process.
- Success here is people doing impactful work that they wouldn’t be doing without you. You’re the reason an exceptional person is now running a policy campaign, doing impressive technical AI safety research, or founding a new company.

## **About you**

You might be a great fit if you:

- **Make things happen without being asked**. Given a clear goal, trust, and enough resources, you’ll figure out the rest. You have a track record of building things from scratch.
- **Have sharp judgement about people**. You can tell who’s exceptional and who isn’t. You ask difficult questions that unearth people’s motivations, previous contributions, raw capabilities, and what’s holding them back from being more impactful.
- **Have built and run programs before**. Examples include conferences, student groups, courses, hackathons, and multi-month fellowships. You know how to coordinate multiple workstreams and keep things on track.
- **Write clearly and communicate well**. Much of this role is about coordinating, inspiring, and moving people. You’re concise, reliable, and easy to work with.
- **Are comfortable with ambiguity**. We’re a startup. The programs you run don’t exist yet. The team and your role in it will look completely different in 12 months. You find that energising, not stressful.
- **Care about the mission.** You understand why AI safety matters, and you want to help get more exceptional people working on it.

You do **not** need a specific degree, years of experience at a specific type of company, or previous work in AI safety. We care about what you can do, not what's on your CV.

We encourage speculative applications — most strong candidates won't meet all these criteria.
