## **Why this role matters**

Our courses serve as the initial learning journey for most new people in the AI safety ecosystem.

Demand is growing faster than we can absorb. We received 3,000 applications in Q4 2025, and another 2,800 applications _just in April 2026_. By the end of the year, we expect to train &gt;1,000 smart, mission-driven people each month, and support the top 5% (50 people/mo) into impactful roles via [1-1 advising](https://bluedot.org/programs/advising), [rapid grants](https://bluedot.org/programs/rapid-grants) and [career transition grants](https://bluedot.org/programs/career-transition-grant).

This role exists to enable that scale-up. You'll run admissions, manage the facilitator pipeline, support thousands of participants, and build the operational infrastructure that lets us 2x throughput.

Course owners will continue to develop the curricula and support top talent during the courses. You'll own everything else that makes a course actually run.

## **What you'll do**

**Run admissions at scale**

- Own the application review pipeline for every BlueDot course. You'll make most admission decisions, escalate edge cases to course owners, and develop taste for who will thrive on each course.

- Improve the evaluation criteria and evaluation process that enables us to maintain high-quality admission decisions at a much larger application volume.

**Run the cohort engine**

- Recruit, train, and manage a pipeline of strong facilitators. We'll need 40 active facilitators per week by the end of 2026 (with many being repeat facilitators or Teaching Fellows).

- Operate the scheduling, cohort assembly, and kickoff systems. Improve them where they break or confuse people.

- Handle requests from participants on all our courses, and build things that prevent similar issues next time.

**Build the systems**

- Replace anything held together with Slack messages and goodwill with repeatable workflows, automations, and SOPs.

- Watch the metrics that matter (acceptance rate, time-to-decision, drop-out rate, NPS) and prioritise what you build accordingly.

**Own participant experience**

- Make sure every participant who joins a BlueDot course has an excellent experience.

- Catch problems before they show up: a facilitator who's overloaded, an application form that's confusing, a participant who's gone silent.

- Be the operational counterpart to course owners so they can spend their time on outreach, course design, and advising top talent.

A strong first six months looks like enabling BlueDot to run courses at 200 participants per week, with applications, admissions, facilitator coverage, and participant support all running cleanly.

You'll work in close partnership with each course owner.

## **About you**

We're looking for a high-agency person who can run a fast-growing operation. You might be a great fit if you:

- **Have shipped at high-volume on something**. It could be a student group you scaled up, or a 200+ person event you ran, or a side project you've built and run for a year. 

- **Have sharp judgement about people.** You can read 30 applications in an hour and consistently identify the few we should prioritise.

- **Bias toward action.** Your instinct is to fix things now, not write a doc and schedule a meeting. You can hold many moving pieces in your head without dropping any.

- **Build only what's needed.** You're allergic to unnecessary infrastructure. Your systems are lean and they solve real problems. You delete things that aren't working.

- **Care about the mission.** You understand why AI safety and biosecurity matter. Ideally you've taken one of our courses already, or you're keen to. You won't write the curricula, but you need to be fluent enough in AI safety to spot when an admissions decision or facilitator response is wrong.

We encourage speculative applications — most strong candidates won't meet all these criteria!

## **What we offer**

- **Location:** The team is split across SF and London, and this role's default is to join us in SF. We're open to remote or London-based for exceptional candidates. Visa sponsorship available.

- **Room to grow:** As BlueDot scales, so does this role. With strong execution there's a clear path to a Head of Programs role within 12-18 months.

- **$120-170k salary** depending on experience, 10% employer 401(k) contribution (no match required), and comprehensive health insurance.
