Our mission is to build the workforce that protects humanity.
What we do
AI is the most transformative technology humanity has ever produced. Too few people are working to make it go well. We find people who could help, and we support them to go full-time working on solving important problems.
Courses. Free courses in AI safety, AI governance and biosecurity. Over 10,000 people have taken them.
Grants. Funding for people to change careers or start new projects.
Programs. In-person programs that give people the context and connections to get started.
Our alumni work at Anthropic, Google DeepMind, the UK AI Security Institute and many other organisations.
We started in 2021 as reading groups in Cambridge. Today, we're a global team of 20, with staff in San Francisco, London and elsewhere. We've raised $71M, and we plan to grow to 50 over the next 12 months.

2021
Started as reading groups at the University of Cambridge.
2022
Founded BlueDot Impact. Launched our first AI safety course with 400 participants.
2023
Expanded to AI governance and biosecurity. Trained 900. Moved to London.
2024
Trained 3,500. Raised $5M.
2025
Launched monthly courses. Raised $25M. Announced SF expansion.
2026
Moved our headquarters to San Francisco. Trained over 10,000 people.
